Ok, so its not a car - but still a worthy story I think. I once had a misprinted 20 dollar bill (the top right corner on the face of the bill was folded during printing, and when you unfolded it, it was blank). Took it home, showed it off to my wife, and laid it on the counter. A few days later I finally remembered to get a frame for it.....only to find that my lovely, beautiful, wonderful wife "accidentally" spent it.

Way, way south.
burkemi, I had a $5 bill that I got out of an ATM in downtown Pgh one night when heading to Happy Hour that only had printing on one side; the back side had only the two light green seals on the right and left sides. Fortunately, I had the foresite to put in my car and never did fold it. Just sold it on eBay last year. Cha-ching.

Hate you? We're just glad you're here rather than rear-ended and blown up from an igniting fuel tank.

Yes mine was midnight metallic Blue had a Chrysler "diamond" on the drivers side, racing wing and skirts. Inside was full leather and infinity sounds system. I have been hooked on leather since then.

The only down side was the 7,200 RPM redline they had to have a device that would auto disconnect the AC as it would spin to fast at lets just say triple digit speeds. ^_-

"The only down side was the 7,200 RPM redline ..."

And to think my old 440 V8 was considered wound tight at 5200 rpm.

My 70 barracuda but when I got rid of it there was not a part that was not dented due to the accident. The roof was bent so even the doors would not open. I was able to drive it home though.

Hubby looked at a 'Cuda a few years ago. I don't recall the year but it had the top that was mostly glass. Really slick looking. Tried to talk him into getting it but he's more of a vintage truck guy.

CompliantOkie, please find out a little more about that Cuda, if you don't mind. I would imagine from the sounds of it, it was probably a mid-later 60's Barracuda.

Must have been one of the original series made 64-66.

Just glancing through the pics it was probably a '65 fastback.

I don't really remember them, but my dad (who has worked at GM for 48 years) loved Ford Mustangs. We had a '66 convertible, a '67 convertible, and a '68 hardtop. Sadly, the Ohio winters and road salt rusted them away. But they sure look nice in the old pictures.

My CRX had a fuel cutoff if I went over 8,000 RPM, not that I found out from experience or anything... whistle

My uncle found out that is you drive a wolfsberg edition Jetta GLI over 110 MPH for over an hour or so in the summer the compute will eventually turn your engine off to protect itself from over heating. Sadly this left him on the side of I-90 while he waited the 10 min before it would let the car start up again.

(for those wondering yes he did have to slow down for the tolls)

I don't remember in what order or what the years were but in high school I drove a Demon, a Duster and a Swinger. The Duster was three on the tree. Or was it the Demon? Too long ago to remember.

I wish I were lucky enough to have a cool car in high school. I rocked a baby blue '92 Ford Tempo. Maxed out at about 60 mph. Chicks were falling over themselves to cruise with me crazy

A friend of mine in high school had a Le Car. The nice thing is that they're so small they're easy to push. smirk

First car was a white 1965 Corvair. 2nd car was a red 1973 Plymouth Duster smile

My current car is the one I hope lasts forever, though. It's a 2007 Saab with a turbo V6. I could be in real trouble if I forget to set the cruise control on the freeway blush
