Ha! I'm lying my tail off...it is hotter than Hades here in the deep south, with humidity to boot. Our heat index is currently sitting at 105...even with all the rain we have been having, just miserable...head about 2 hours north and it is even worse...

It finally warmed on up to typical July weather for this part of Texas. The summer had been unseasonably cool here and with uncharacteristic rain. Now the forecast has entered that boring phase, sunny and hot each and every day for about the next six weeks.
I can predict the weather though. It always rains sometime during the week before dove season, negatively impacting my bag limit obtained while sitting at a stock tank. Always has, always will.

I think we are paying for the cool weather lasting longer than usual.

We have been wet and colder until this week. This is the first week we have been in the high 80's all summer. And the first time we have gone 3 days without rain.

Our heat index is around 110 here in the middle of SC. No sense in even going outside, there is no breeze at all. I knew it was going to be bad today when it was 85 at 8:30am. I'm ready for fall.

Now that it has finally stopped raining, it is beautiful here in Western PA. We suffered through a tough winter, and this is the reward, high 70's - low 80's. If it weren't for this work-thing, I'd be outside from sun-up to sun-down.

Unusually cool here in the St. Louis Metro area. 78 at 11:00 AM. Last week was apparently horribly hot and humid, as it should be, but I missed it. The weekend is supposed to return to horribly hot and humid. We had the wettest June on record, and it was cooler than normal.

It has been very nice here in a dairy state, but I worry after seeing a show on PBS that noted mini ice-ages can be the result of global warming. So now I am worried all the warming will freeze me to death.

Last day where the high was NOT in the 90s here was July 7. Last five days highs have been 98 or above. Since June 14, we've had 31 days with temps in the 90s or above. I'm ready for fall, but we've probably got at least another 30 days of really hot weather yet to come.

Beech - when we lived in Georgia my husband would tell people that there were 4 seasons - 3 of hot and 1 of not-so-hot.

I just learned that it was so hot here last week that one of our new tellers decided to wear shorts to work. She must have nodded off when HR went over the dress code in orientation.

Beech - when we lived in Georgia my husband would tell people that there were 4 seasons - 3 of hot and 1 of not-so-hot. And I knew that and still chose to move here, so I really have no room to complain. Thank goodness for air conditioning and an indoor job.

Highs yesterday at 100F and same forecast for today. It's been unseasonably toasty warm in my office. We had no air conditioning yesterday and will not have any today either as the building is getting all new air conditioning equipment. Good thing to since the heating and air conditioning was a patched together mish-mash some of which may have dated back to the 1920s when the building was built.
