We had a customer request $50,000.00 in cash, we told her we would give her $25,000.00 and a Cashiers Check for the rest.

She then tells them she wants to put this money into her daughters SDB. She is wanting to hide this money, it is from the sale of her home, and she doesn't want this showing up if she ever has to go into the nursing.

My question is, since the money is in the daughters SDB and her mother is a deputy on it, does the daughter need to be included on the CTR?

No. The CTR is reporting the withdrawal from the account, which is being conducted by the mother on her own behalf. How she chooses to use/store/dispose of the cash is beyond the scope of the CTR.

I agree. You handed the cash to Mom.

Mom's verbal statements don't have much to do with how you fill out a CTR, but they should be a factor in documenting your consideration of a SAR filing...
