I was just wanting an opinion on what other people are doing for construction loan underwriting. Is anyone underwriting the request if the loan would be booked in their portfolio under current product offerings, or just as a 12 month exempt loan to be sold on the secondary market? I am of the belief that it needs to be underwritten as if completed and the bank has to keep the loan. Thanks for any feed back.
