We're changing our business hours. Not by much, but the Friday closing time will be earlier.

I realize that a change such as this requires a 30 day notification to our customers, but I can't remember if that's 30 calendar days or 30 business days.

This notification is being mailed in paper format to all customers. No, we don't have a website that we can post it on. Yes, we are one of those old-fashioned community banks, and we're located in Pennsylvania - if that matters.

Can someone clarify the day part for me? Thanks!

We researched this a year or so ago, and found that advance notice isn't required for a reduction in hours, only for closing the branch altogether (in that case, the requirement was 90 days.) We are regulated by the OCC, so I don't know if any of the other regulators have different requirements.

We elected to give 30 calendar days notice, just as good customer service.

It is a State law issue. Some States require notices and you would have to refer to that law to determine proper notice timeframes.
