A Texas auto dealer will pay $82,777 in civil penalties to the FTC as part of a settlement to address Federal Trade Commission charges that it ]b]failed to have written policies and procedures regarding the accuracy of reported credit information, and failed to properly investigate disputed consumer credit information.[/b]

Additionally, the company is barred from further violations. That sounds threatening.
