Saw $1.74 last weekend in Comanche, Texas when I was traveling over to the Fort Worth area to tend to a family medical emergency. Heard it was even lower in Comanche today. Got to go back through tomorrow so will bear this in mind.

We're at about $2.15 in SW FL, and the tractor trailers are starting to flow into town with snow bird vehicles, ugh.

We're about $2.09 in South Central, KY. My son lives about 2 hours northeast of us and he said there it's below $2.00.
Snowbirds? In September? Seems early to me, but what do I know.

Skittles, you are entirely right, WAY TOO EARLY.
Also, we stay in NE KY for a couple months in the summer. I truly love KY, it's a beautiful state.
Are you near Harlan County?

while I enjoy the lower fuel prices, heck who doesn't, a growing number of oil companies are laying off employees, declaring bankruptcy, pulling rigs out of production, all which has some lasting impact to a state such as ours that relies heavily on oil production for tax revenue. Chevron just laid off 900 from a local office, Shell has laid off 450 with a potential for another 1000, Hercules laid off 250 and pulled all production rigs and declared bankruptcy, Sodexo is laying off support employees who provide transportation to rigs, shipbuilders who build the supply boats are reducing staff...
I would imagine Houston area is seeing similar if not worse...

The lower the cost per barrel of oil goes the higher per gallon of gas it seems to get in WI for he last 6 months or so. They must still be trying to convince us it is a good idea to import corn for food so we can use WI corn to make low quality gas.

Well at least we can feel good knowing the stock holders and CEO types are still pulling down the millions and I am sure they appreciate the sacrifice of those 700 families. ^_-
