Best price here is $2.08 - however with my fuel perks from Kroger - I only paid $1.58 at the kroger gas station last night.

Starting to hear of layoffs in Texas and one drilling company in Austin has declared bankruptcy. The weak companies are not going to survive. Rig contracts are being cancelled.
Just the market shaking things out....

Once OPEC and the boys shake enough of those companies from the market they will jack the prices back up and we will be truly hosed. It is good to see at least some companies are still capable of long term thinking. Just to bad the US flushed our long term thinking down the same toilet we pulled out oil futures from.

hovering at $1.68, but several news channels reporting that they will begin creeping up in the next few weeks as "refineries gear up for summer blend."
I can't help but wonder why they never ramp up in fall as they prepare to eliminate the summer blend, or why prices never fall when summer blend ends...

Well, our gas jumped to 2.35 yesterday. News this morning was reporting the jump is do to the refineries needing to upgrade in preparation for Summer blend gas. Same BS every year. Seems to me that we never see a .30 drop in the fall when they need to move to the cheaper winter grade. It is close to .07 drop. I realize this is still much better than the 3.78 we were paying just a few months ago, but .30 really!

We jumped from $1.79 to $1.99 in a couple of weeks. Probably the last we will see it under $2.00...

Up to about $1.83 here. Seems to move up a couple of pennies every day or so.

Up to about $1.83 here. Seems to move up a couple of pennies every day or so. On the way home, just after posting this, prices were $1.89. Looks like the upward pace of pricing is accelerating.
