Do you know if anyone will be setting up a Closing Disclosure (CD) Timing Calendar which you would input the delivery date, how delivery occured (mailed, hand delivered, etc.) and output the earliest closing can occur.

We currently use the Early Disclosure Reg Z Timing Calendar on bankersonline.com http://www.bankersonline.com/tools/lender/regz_newdate_km.html.

Thank you!

Compliance Alliance has a "Providing the Closing Disclosure Matrix" that shows you the latest day you can deliver (both methods) based on your closing day. It is in their tools section if you have an account with them.

Just checking back on this to see if there were any other options available similar to the Reg Z Timing Calendar that was mentioned above. We have looked at the online calculator posted above and it does appear to be a useful tool but just curious as to what else is being offered.

If one doesn't show up, it's on my to-do list to get one built to replace the Reg Z Timing Calendar we are using today from Bankers Online. If I get it built, I would be happy to share, but will gladly use someone else's if you beat me to it!

Our loan staff also uses and is familiar with the Reg Z Timing Calendar on Bankersonline. I would also be interested if anyone has anything similar.

They finally put my TRID calculator in the BOL tools. It's an interactive spreadsheet which will tell you earliest closing date and/or latest you can send disclosures based on a desired closing date. Hope it provides some help and please let me know if you find any issues or have any improvements.

We did, in fact, feature Carolina Blue's TRID Calendar Calculator spreadsheet tool in this morning's Compliance Briefing. You'll find the Calendar Tool easily by rolling over "Lending" in the blue navigation bar at the top of any of our pages, and selecting the Lending Tools link.

Thank you, Carolina Blue, for sharing this valuable aid with our BOL community.

Sadly, I didn't notice this error until after it got released. In the Desired Closing calculator there is a cell that was accidentally left locked. I've submitted the change to Andy.

If you have already downloaded the file, then go to the File tab section and click Unprotect for the Desired Closing tab. Enter TRID. Once unprotected, go to that tab and select cell B26 (it's the one for documenting if the applicant received the CD before the assumed 3 day mail date). Right click on the cell and select Format Cells. When the Format Cells pop-up appears, go to the Protection tab. Unclick the Locked option then click OK. Once you've unlocked the cell you can go back to the FIle tab section, click on the Protect Workbook option. From the dropdown select Protect Current Sheet. It will prompt you to enter a password. Enter TRID or another password you want to use. Leave the boxes checked as is and click OK. It willask you to re-enter the password. Once complete then save the file.

Sorry about that.

Thank you so much for creating this. Does the calculator assume that the bank is open on Saturdays?

Carolina Blue, does this calculator presume office is not open for substantially all business functions on Saturdays? Is there a way to adjust if the office is open for substantially all functions on Saturdays?

The calculator does not count Saturdays for the 3 business days to (re)issue a disclosure. It does count Saturdays for the waiting periods (mail, CD review, and ROR).

If you want to change it, then you will need to unprotect the sheet and find the applicable formula(s). Most of the formulas are directly in the cell, but a few are indirectly in a hidden column to the right. Highlight Columns C through G and right click in that area (or go to the View tab) and click Unhide. You can see the formulas in the D and E columns.

If the formula includes "WORDKDAY" then it is not counting Saturday. If it includes "WORKDAY.INTL" then it is counting Saturday. Adjust the formulas (add .INTL or remove it) as needed to count how you want. Hope that helps.

Thanks, CB. As a Duke fan, I take back all the bad things I've ever said about Tarheels.

On further thought, no, I can't do that. I still hold by all the bad things I've ever said about Tarheels. But I do appreciate the work this tool took and your sharing it with us. Thanks.
