I was just thinking about changing our browsers this morning actually.

We did this internally several weeks ago for security reasons. I was running IE with higher levels, but noticed that something was occurring.

You'll have to keep IE installed, though. The patching system uses it. Also, some sites won't work in other browsers with proper security settings. On the other hand, I dont't believe that once the new XP patch is released those sites will work either.

I'm currently using Mozilla, no plugins. Acrobat works fine. Also we don't use Outlook - too risky.

I use IE and Mozilla Firefox. I love tabbed browsing. Netscape just got some capital I think from Nokia. This may be a second boost in bringing back their browser.

I know just enough about computers and the internet to be dangerous, but my son, who is a consummate computer nerd, switched our network at home to Mozilla Firefox. He did this after I kept getting spyware through IE and said it is safer and better than IE. So far so good . . .
