We have Visa and MC debit cards (we currently have both, but will only have MC at some point).

We have a branded Visa card with Elan, and apparently now also have American Express with them, too.

I know that due to our debit card offerings/contracts with Visa and MC we have to give cash advances on Visa and MC cards even if for non customers.

What about American Express? We do not have a contract with American Express ("AE"), so I was thinking we don't even though we have the branded card with Elan, but I don't want to assume. If yes, do you know where I find the AE rule that says this? I've not ever worked with AE and don't even know where to begin. We do not currently even have machines that will process the AE cards.
