Anyone seen? taking wife and kids tonight...fortunately kids are old enough for military service, so no worries about the graphic nature, as I've heard many who took their 8-14 year olds complain about...seriously, who takes kids that young to R-rated movies anyway...

I saw it opening weekend and thought the movie was really good. It's definitely not for kids. Lots of action and very funny.

I saw it opening weekend and loved it. You're right, definitely not for kids but then again, that's why movies have ratings, right?

I loved Deadpool! Very "rated R" and that is the only way to make a true Deadpool movie (same with the Punisher but that's another conversation).
I have been a Deadpool fan from the first time he showed up in the comics. The sequel has already been greenlighted (green lit?) and it will have Cable! Hopefullt Domino also, all of X-Force!
Anyway, it is a great movie as long as you are not expecting anything real deep or a commentary on the American experience.

I will not see the movie for personal reasons. I love comic books but have never been a fan of the Deadpool character and creating an R-rated movie with him as the main character does not appeal to me.
My opinion only and will not preach to others about their movie choices when they are adults capable of making their own choices.

In my opinion, the Deadpool comics are focused on sex, violence, and self-centeredness. His only goal is to make money and satisfy his own needs. The movie, being full of unnecessary nudity and language, is not the type of thing to which I want to expose myself based on my beliefs. Again, this is my stance and it is not my expectation that others believe the same way I do. I will not judge others for seeing the movie as people need to follow their own path.

Huh, I had no interest in seeing any of the comic book/character movies until this post. Now I am more than intrigued!

I don't know much about this character but the action seems kind of cool.
If I recall though, he's tied to the X-Men in someway and they're Marvel characters which are so much better than DC. So they've got that going for them, which is nice.
I don't know if I can get past Reynolds' role as Green Lantern though.

Peepers, think of Reynolds as "Van Wilder" and that might clear your way to seeing it. He was hilarious in that.
