#2066126 - 02/25/16 08:12 PM Merger-- What happens to the liens

Hi all,

We recently merged with another institution. Our liens all state our old PO Box on them, but we are now getting rid of said PO Box. We will forward that mail to our new PO Box for a while, but not forever.

Do we need to go through and update all of our lien filings to reflect the new address? This would be for all of our vehicle loans and mortgages...

Just not sure what to do here. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

We did not have a merger but we moved awhile back. I was not at the bank at that time, but there are still liens that have the old address. We just update them as we are working on them again; I don't think we ever did a mass re-filing. I suppose legal counsel is the best method for determining the necessity based on your location and customer base.
