Ok, so I have read and re-read commentary, the amendment and sat in a webinar, but I still feel uncertain on how procedures and policies should cover this. We do not live close to a base. We do not really even have a military recruiting area close by. In the 10+ years I have been with this bank, we have had 1 SCRA loan customer. Is my take too far off the mark, that for covered loans at application we should do a DOD search and have in file to ensure our customer is not in the military like we check before starting the foreclosure process. I know dependents and spouses too but I am hoping that will get figured out by the DOD for a search option for them? If so, they get the disclosure verbiage but I am sure our vendor will provide.....eventually.
Also do other have a combined SCRA and MLA policy or separate?
