What's the best Christian album you have purchased recently?

Chris Rice's "Short Term Memories" is fantastic..

Another recent favorite of mine is Todd Agnew "Grace Like Rain"

I actually like Relient K, but it's not for the faint of heart. You have to like alternative music or take a pass on this one.

Just got a couple of good CDs for father's day and my birthday. If you prefer more of a rock flavor, this is a great CD---Casting Crowns. The best song is: Who Am I?

For a softer sound: the new Selah with the song You Raise Me Up.

I haven't purchased any in eons but one of my faves used to be Stryper, the Yellow and Black attack. Not sure how many remember them.

My taste trends toward Southern Gospel quartets. I purchased the Cathedrals farewell album and like it alot. Also have several albums from CrossWay - they are awesome.

I loved Stryper. How about Barren Cross? Anyone heard of them? Their drummer Steve Whitaker and his wife Christie are actually a friends of mine. They haven't done much musically in several years, but were one of the first Christian Metal bands.

Anyone remember The Prayer Chain? They were, IMO, the best band around in the 90's. I was sad to see them go.

What I like about today's Christian music is that there is any type of music available. Pop to heavy metal to hip hop but with a Christian message.

First off, you have to be really young to not remember Stryper. They were the first Christian band to get me listening.

Secondly, I LOVE the fact that so many people on BOL actually listen to Christian Music. The comment that any kind of music from Heavy Metal to Soft Pop is available with a heavenly message is too true. It just says something about this community that so many people choose this message to listen to.

I really like the Casting Crowns cd, every song is very good.

I saw Michael W. Smith and Third Day in concert together last year in St. Louis. It was a great concert.

Michael W. Smith and Mercy Me are going to be in Indianapolis in a couple of weeks. Debating on going or not.

They must be going from there to here - July 26th. I think I'm going to try to go.

Anyone out there listen to A Capella? Those guys are awesome! Their style ranges from a pop/rock sound, to traditional hymns, to southern gospel - all with no instruments except their voices.

Love Third Day, DC Talk, MercyMe, and Stephen Curtis Chapman. My favorite, though, has to be Jars of Clay.

Gotta love Rich Mullins, Avalon, and Mercy Me. I enjoy the annual WOW cds with the mixture of artists. Chris Rice is amazing. Three cheers for Christian radio stations!

My latest Christian Artist purchase was the Casting Crowns album. I love it. My favorite song is the one that has the line "This may be my last chance to tell him that you love him". Something about that line really hits me hard. I have a relative that isn't following the Lord right now and everytime I see him, I know that it could be the last because we never know what God has planned for us. I stive to treat him with the most Christ-like attitude possible.

I'm really glad my kids are getting to grow up with Christian music!

I love the first song on Todd Agnew's album! Having been in the depths of depression after being abducted and robbed at gunpoint and feeling totally lost until turning to God, that song sings just to me every time I hear it.

What's the Kutless album like?
