Hi all. I'm curious how others monitor for BSA (suspicious activity etc) for a separate WMS/Trust area of the bank? On the bank side, I am using BAM, but our Trust department is separate and is not on our core FIS Horizon so therefore I can't use BAM for anything related to Trust. I believe Trust uses Sungard Addvantage and Reliance Trust. For years we have just kind of relied on the VP of Ops in WMS to manually report any suspicious activity to BSA staff.... however we have no type of monitoring or anything in place. What do others do?

Hi JLG. Send me a PM w/your email & I'd love to connect. I have the exact same set up at my bank.

Thank you WonderWoman. Would anyone else be willing to share what they do regarding this?

We had that set up at my last bank too. We had a designated Trust Compliance Officer though. She reviewed trust docs, new account docs, profiles, did training, etc (she was not our Trust Ops Mgr though-that was a different position). She also ran the 314a and reviewed OFAC hits. Our examiners wanted me as BSA Officer to review and sign off on her 314a's, otherwise they were good with our program.
