Has anyone had any requests for SAR documentation come straight from FinCEN? This is a first for us and was curious to see if this is something new or if others have received these.

I've had it before. Sometimes they have you upload supporting docs through the 314a site. I would give them a call.

FinCEN has made much of its increasing analytical capabilities in identifying trends in suspicious activity. Many SARs with similar fact situations would have the appeal of pieces of a puzzle. They want to put it together.
