Our bank has always uses MICR ink on all Official Checks that we print, routing number & account number. In this age of CAR/LAR, is the use of MICR still a requirement? Does anyone still use MICR ink? MICR cartridges are very expensive.

Does this still stand true with all the new regulations that the bank must still use MICR ink?
