We are looking at doing a consumer unsecured line of credit that will not have an expiration date. We will pull a soft credit yearly to verify the customer still qualifies for the line. The line of credit will not have a card issued for direct draws and will not be tied to a checking account so it can’t be accessed by the debit card. The customer will have to make draws by check or transfer the money to their checking account either in person, by phone or on-line. With all that being said, would this line of credit still fall under the credit card rules because it does not have an expiration date?
Thanks for any help with this!
