the app tracks your distance and time, shows a map of where you went, it is in real time. you enter a time you will be active, and if it expires or you stop for more than 5 minutes, unless you tell it "hold up" it will send a notice to your contact list that you have stopped. I goofed once and forgot to end my session, MsGilmore calls in a panic thinking I've been injured...

Cauliflower pizza crust is great! Anyone looking to lower their carb intake, this is something you should try.

I am down 38.5 pounds, doing it the old fashioned way. Eating better and less, and moving more!

Do you have a recipe or tips/tricks that you could share Tracey? There are tons of recipes online and I want a tried and true one.

I'm trying to really watch what I eat while I recover from a knee injury. I got bucked off my horse last week and jammed both my knees. It's going to be a while before I can get really active again.

Try logging everything you eat with the MyFitnessPal App. To me, knowing how many calories I'm consuming per meal and how many I have left for dinner really helps.

I'm doing the P90X2 workout along with diet and that App helps a lot.

Serious post for a change

While al of the food logs and calories counting is great. Please be advised to pay attention to others if you have lost an unusual amount of weight and/or lost it fast. Others will notice an eating disorder while the weight loss person will see that they still need to lose a few more pounds. (talk to a doctor for a neutral opinion) And no they are not saying it to me mean.

end of serious and back to a donut or three.

Okie- if you go on to Pinterest there are a ton of low card recipes. I try a new one every Sunday and if we like it, put it in our dinner rotation. The key for me has been logging everything I eat and drink. It is eye opening to see just what you are eating and drinking each day. Water is key also for me. I drink a gallon of water a day. For exercise, I walk- I get home from work, change and go. I know that if I sit down its all over and I won't go. I try to walk 3-5 miles every day. I am going to start biking also.

I only weigh myself once a week, or I will go crazy since the number can fluctuate. I also don't deprive myself of anything. If I want ice cream, I have some- just a small amount, but enough.

Slow and steady is the key.

Way, way south.
I have a recipe for a low carb pizza using cheese for the crust that is really, really good. Even those not on a diet loved it.

Same for me. If I don't log it I will end up overeating. I'm only a few pounds away from my goal so overeating will set me back.

Did a 12 mile sprint around the lake on my bike in similar heat indices yesterday evening...ozone count was high...seriously sucking wind...still set a personal best time! Going to do it again this evening (will be a bit cooler).

I visited the doctor recently and have received the results... eliminate rice, corn, dairy, white potatoes and wheat from your diet.

oooookkkkkkk.... guess it's fruit, vegetables and meat from here on out. (How do you not eat cheese.... here come the waterworks!)

Cheese is a vegetable in some parts of the country you can simply move there.

I could probably go along with all of that except dairy. I must needs dairy!

the above is why I don't bother going to the doctor unless a bone is sticking out or I'm bleeding from places that shouldn't bleed... eek

Played in a golf outing yesterday. What do you do when all you are offered is hot dog and chips? Guess I will start over today :-)
