This weekend we'll be increasing our family by one! We were approved by a local dog rescue for a pup and are picking it up on Sunday! So I think I'll be spending some time with the kiddos and playing with the newest family member while enjoying a nice whiskey cocktail from a local distillery.

Speaking of smores, we recently found flat marshmallows with chocolate already inside the middle of them. They worked quite well and the kids loved them!

You can by flat square marshmallows too.....but they don't stay on the coat hanger over the fire very well. S'mores aren't really s'mores unless you cook (set on fire) the marshmallows over an open flame on an unsafe painted coat hanger.

Just went to the veggie stand outside the office here, brings in a big bag of bicolor sweet corn, some water melon, cantaloupe, tomatoes and peaches.

Add this to the goodness on the table and eat up folks.
