Does anyone know of a Wisconsin law that requires negative accounts to be charged off within any certain time (i.e. 60 days)? I know there is the federal guidance, but we have examiners there and although they are not citing to it, they claim that there is a state law requirement.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

they claim that there is a state law requirement.

Any time someone makes such a claim, ask them for the citation rather than going on a wild goose chase. I don't see anything.

Thanks, Randy. I did ask them, just no way to force them to answer it smile

The comment didn't show up on their draft report until the exit interview. So they were shutting down to leave afterwards and they said they didn't know and that the other group had put the comment in there (we had a joint force of state ad federal examiners here). We will be getting a revised draft for review sometime before they issue the final and I wanted to be ready.
