Texas A & M was the last team to score a touchdown against them! That was October 22nd - they've allowed no touchdowns in November..

The Citadel plays Alabama in 2018, but not the opener. It's scheduled for 11/17/18, so will be the tune up for Alabama before the Iron Bowl game. Big money game for The Citadel. Not much of a shot in that game, but we are having a fantastic season this year. Citadel is now 10-1 and three games away from playing for a National Championship. Best season in school history. My team is coming at you from the bracket across the way...North Dakota State.  My nephew played in four of the last five National Championship games for NDSU. Nothing like playoff time, especially if your team is doing well! Best of luck to The Citadel! NDSU got a break in the playoff seedings just because of their past success. After losing to SDSU, no way they should be the #1 seed. Besides, isn't 5 years in a row enough? Time for new blood. Go Citadel!

The Penn Staters are whining about being #7, and having little chance of making the play-off even if they win the Big 10. That makes me smile. The fact that the SEC (other than that one professional team), is down also makes me happy. It's been a fun season.

I get why MI is where there are today, but does anything change once the Big 10 championship is played?
I think it's also dependent on Washington and Clemson.
If Washington and Clemson win, they're in.
If either loses and WI wins, do they leapfrog MI? If either loses and Penn State wins, do they leapfrog MI? Will final score have a bearing?
If neither team in the Big 10 championship has a chance to get in regardless of what happens with #3 and #4 (i.e. no one leapfrogs MI), then why play it?

Yep, the Chattanooga Mocs' football program received $500,000 for playing Alabama a couple of weeks ago. They wouldn't get this type of money anywhere else per their coach. I have no idea how much the bigger teams receive.

And it's still good for recruiting for the smaller schools - the chance to compete in the big stadium full of 80,000 fans they probably would not have otherwise.

Sorry Pokes, Sooners won! I gave up on the Wisconsin v Penn State game when the score was 28 to 7 Wisconsin. I should have continued watching - looks like the 2nd half was a great game.
