It is a dreaded word...cancer.

It has affected so many people and so many have lost of the battle to that word. Today a very close friend and co-worker has been moved into Hospice due to that word. It seems to be that it is too much and her body cannot fight it any longer. There is not a day that you come to work and not talk to her. If you have a bad day, you go so her and you will sure walk away with a smile on your face.

I am a believer that everything happens for a reason and know all of this has a purpose. At this time we don't know what the purpose is but know its great and will affect so many people and most likely somehow in some way we will have a smile on our face knowing that she has touched our lives.

Today, her family needs prayers as they face this and in the days to come.

That's so sad. Prayers for you, her family and the office for strength and comfort.

I lost my best friend at 42 to that dreaded word... we had been friends since we were 10 years old. Saying prayers for your co-worker for peace and comfort.

Ah so sorry for all. Prayers for peace and comfort. Tough to hear and harder to witness.

My husband's boss lost his 29 year old son to brain cancer yesterday. We all could learn from this amazing man, the way he accepted his diagnosis and chose quality of life versus quantity. The way he asked his family and friends to not be sad, but to celebrate his life.

I pray for their family during this hard time, for the tough holiday season ahead and for their peace and comfort during the healing process.

What a wonderful testament to him and how he wanted his family to celebrate his life instead of being sad. We can all learn from him and hopefully live our lives so our families can do the same for us.
