I had to stay up until the game ended, in case I would be witnessing history. The last time the Cubs won the World Series, my grandfather was 2 years old!

for the first time that I can remember I did not watch any playoffs or WS and barely any part of any game this year but I did make it to Cooperstown.

The Sportcenter Twitter account retweeted a tweet from 2014 where a guy said 2016 World Series, Cubs vs. Indians, Cubs win in game seven after extra innings - starts Armageddon.

You were in my neck of the woods, only 30 minutes away and I have never been! I plan on going this winter when there is no one there.

I am a fan of neither team, but I was pulling for the Indians because I love the movie Major League, and I so wanted to be able to repeat the line, "The Indians win it, the Indians win it, oh my God the Indians win it!!"

He told my dad it was less than his rent... don't know what that dollar amount is either. But, he just moved to Cleveland from Minneapolis about 4 weeks ago and lives within (a long walk) walking distance of the stadium. So, why not!

That game was amazing! I didn't think that I would survive it.  I'm so happy that the Cubbies won. I remember watching games on WGN with my dad and uncle growing up in South Bend, IN. Maybe there's hope for my Fighting Irish to turn their football season around.  GO! CUBS! GO!

I have to say I have not felt the urge to play ball like I did during those last few games since I was in grade school.
Good fun watching my fav childhood sports team win it all.
