I heard this a couple of days ago, and it seems to be gathering steam. Here is CBS' take on the story.

And I owe the commuters on state highway 40 an apology - when I heard a proposed campaign slogan on 'Mike & Mike' this morning, I almost drove off the road:

"Mike Ditka - he causes and feels your pain."

I am a huge Bear's fan, but our world is in a lot of trouble if that man was elected into Senate.

I can imagine both Mike Ditka and Bobby Knight in the senate. At least the tables are attached to the floor....but watch out for those heavy wooden chairs...OUCHH

What negative effect would a Sen. Ditka cause for the world? He's not running for NFL commissioner.
