I have an examiner telling me we are required to send a SCRA notice to all borrowers. At first I thought they were talking about the HUD-SCRA notice, but no, he said a SCRA notice. Then he showed me the HUD-SCRA notice. Have I lost my mind? We only send the HUD-SCRA on real estate secured loans. Is there a requirement to send it on unsecured loans too?

Refer the examiner back to the original HUD instructions and ask what supplemental requirement s/he is referring to.

You are the best Andy! I kept reading the Act and then Mortgagee Letter and nowhere did I see a requirement, but thought maybe I missed it.

Nope - the examiner has however. Ask them for a citation, as Andy suggested.
