Have you done or are you planning on doing the "voluntary" diversity assessment at your institution?

If you have more than 50 employees and you are a Federally insured financial institution, you should already have most of what you need. It is called an Affirmative Action plan. Procurement and business practices are probably the gap.

I understand that. But I tend to be a contrarian by nature. Don't tell me something is optional if it really isn't optional because you know I have most of the data anyway and you expect me to do it and you're going to apply extra scrutiny to me if I don't do it simply because I chose not to do it.

If you perform a "voluntary diversity assessment" what are you and/or management going to do with this information?

Pulling people out of the ditc...
we annually give employees an option to "self identify" but I have no idea how many people actually respond. I certainly don't.

I just received a copy of the letter that the OCC sent to our CEO. The language I don't like is that they refer to it as voluntary but then they request us to submit our assessment and put it on our website.

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau released a report Wednesday summarizing strategies for the mortgage industry for promoting diversity and inclusion.

The CFPB collaborated with the financial industry to raise awareness of the importance of strengthening diversity and inclusion within organizations, according to a release from the regulator.
