I'm hoping someone can provide some clarification, or examples of what your policy is when it comes to what is included as "income" when lending to military personnel. We use Meridian Link for applications and with an update that is coming, they are changing the income information screen. Gross Monthly Income will now be auto-calculated, but there is also an option for including any basic allowance for housing they receive (this will also be auto-calculated). I have been unable to find anything that states this is something that is required, but does anyone have best practices/policies/suggestions for this? BAH isn't something that is guaranteed, or constant, so I'm wondering if we should even use it when calculating.
