Does anyone know if it is a common practice for banks to get a business to sign a form when they open a business account stating if they are involved or not in internet gambling? We already have to the notification in our terms and conditions but our auditors think it is best for us to get a form signed by the business specifically stating if they are involved or not with internet gambling.

All the banks I have worked for have it in their new account application process where the customer signs/certify they are not engaged in internet gambling.

OK
Just to clarify....the declaration should be that they do not engage in "unlawful" internet gambling. Not all internet gambling is "unlawful".

ETA: Been awhile since i wrote our policy....i did get curious and check out our language on the declaration....it does state simply "internet gambling", with the caveat that if the customer were to say "yes, we operate an internet gambling business", they would have to then supply the proper documentation proving that they operate said business legally.
