Finished Echoes in Death by JD Robb (Eve Dallas series) this weekend and then started Banana Cream Pie Murder by Joanne Fluke. If you like the Hanna Swenson series then you may enjoy the Lexy Baker series by Leighann Dobbs or the Black Cat Cafe series by Lyndsey Cole - very similar (less recipes though) but normally quite a bit cheaper than the Joann Fluke books.

After taking a break from it, I finally finished Cold Sassy Tree. That was brutal; it was written how the characters spoke and I'd image the audiobook was more tolerable.

I'm listening to Gone Girl for the first time. I've seen the movie and really enjoyed it. I assume the book is better. I've got several books on hold so I may not finish Gone Girl before I get new books but I will come back to it.

Decided to tackle the Dark Tower series; about a third of the way through the first book and I'm hooked. As much as I love SK I always thought it was too sci-fi for me.

I will be interested to hear what you think of The Chemist. I haven't put it on my list yet.

I really liked his Corps series (at least the first couple of them - got tired of General Pickering pretty fast.) I wish he hadn't dropped that series.

love that, CheekEE. The book(s) are a little different than the movie.

Happy - I also recommend 11/22/63 by King if you decide to read another. AND I finished 'The Fix' and LOVED it!

I started, and discarded, The Birthday Girls by Pauline Lawless. The synopsis sounded like a Liane Moriarty type book, but the writing was extremely elementary. I hate it when that happens. Then I started another Kindle book and ended up putting it down as well because the page breaks were apparently poorly edited, so you might turn the page and pick up the story where it apparently skipped a couple of paragraphs, or you might find that instead of continuing the sentence you were reading you are now in the middle of a paragraph that was in the middle of the previous page. Ugh....how does this even happen? I sometimes find that this stops after the first 3 or 4 pages, but if it does not I just cannot put up with it.

Listening to the Hitchhikers Guide series - the narrator really makes the book come alive!

Too much romance. Not enough torture.

I am now reading Into the Water by Paula Hawkins.
