Do you charge a check cashing fee to a non-customer, even for cashing on-us checks?

Thanks. I had seen that thread as well but my question is more for everyday checks written by individuals for individuals. For example, I pay someone $50 bucks to cut my grass or I reimburse a friend $100 that picked something up at Lowes for me. Does anyone charge for those types of on-us checks if cashed by a non-customer?

The link you were offered was on point; i.e. that entire conversation assumed that a fee could be charged for non customer payees. The only caveat offered was by John that it might not be possible under state law if it was a payroll check. That implicitly opened the door to charging fees for all other types of checks.
