Crosby Stills Nash and/or Young (It was billed this way since Young was due to get out of prison and David Crosby was in court and might end up serving time for drugs. (It ended up Crosby Stills and Nash).

Rush - Presto Tour - Probably the best ever because of the Rabbits!

U2--1983 (War Tour) Fantastic concert before they became full of themselves.
REM--1984 or 1985 (Their second album, not counting their EP) This was a very small venue before they hit it big. They were loud and not very good. The band got mad that the audience would not stay quiet while Stipe sang an accapella version of Moon River--prima donnas.
John Fogerty in about 1997. Great, great concert.
Eagles 1980 (Long Run Tour)
Bruce Springsteen (Tunnel of Love Tour) 1987
I know I am forgetting some and leaving out many bands you've probably never heard of. As much as I love music, I am not much of a BIG concert goer. I prefer smaller venues and often local or regional acts. I'd prefer to buy 5 or 6 of the performers CDs than to pay $75 to sit 100 yards away from the stage.

The Beatles at Suffolk Downs 1966 (Could not actually see them but could hear the whole concert from my front porch. Chicago in their early days (before the 80's sappy songs) The Go-Go's and Flock of Seagulls at Boston Garden (had to throw in some 80's stuff) James Taylor at several locations The Brian Setzer Orchestra at the Roxy (the most fun I ever had at a concert)

Have any of you Rush fans bought their 30th anniversary EP? It is cool. They are playing songs they cut their teeth on. They may be long in the teeth now, but their playing is fresh. The EP only costs about $7 or $8. Worth the purchase. Does anyone own Vapor Trails or any other recent recording? I hear it is pretty good. What tragedy they've faced personally.

John Lee Hooker.
Johnny Clegg and Savuka was a great, great show. he is from South Africa and he jams.
War (with Lee Oskar) was a phenomenal party!!

Yes, I missed a few concerts because they didn't come to the cities I was in at the time, and I was too poor to travel to see them back then. Besides, it's all about the rabbits coming out of the hats.
Yes, Rush has gone through a lot. I have always been a HUGE fan of the drummer, Neil Pert. Super skilled, super intelligent, and down to earth. Each concert I go to I can't wait to hear YYZ and his drum solo.
