Exactly, Joker. I don't always (read: rarely) drink beer, but when I do drink Mexican beer, I prefer Pacifico.

I'm consistently a Corona man. It's my go-to. Not too heavy and just right for large consumption.

I am a Dos man, except when I have a Modelo, but yeah, forget that Corona stuff.

If you can read a newspaper through your beer, you might as well put it in a juice box with a straw. Give me a nice stout or porter - Guinness being the go to.

You might get lime burn, as the article said, but pick your poison. Beer bottles in Mexico are refilled, and not always stored in the cleanest places, so the lime is actually used as an antiseptic to get germs off the mouth of the bottle. You may see some Mexicans rub the lime on the bottle and then discard it. Then again, a lot of bars forget to wash the limes, so if you drop it in your beer, you may get a little tummy problem. Conclusion: drink tequila.

But I'm with GuitarDude, I like Pacifico. I'll take a bucket of six with a plate of (washed) limes.

Negra Modelo, Pacifico, Dox Equis, in that order if drinking a Mexican beer ...never a corona or tecate...

I miss the days before craft beers arrived. Your grandfather had two choices for beer: Schlitz and Pabst. Both were excellent.

Negra Modelo is my favorite Mexican beer although a Dos Equis isn't half bad from time to time.
