Listened to My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry and Brit Marie was Here. Now listening to A Man Called Ove. I listen while I mow. (Multi tasking) I like the author Fredrick Beckman.

"Mississippi Blood", by Greg Iles. It's the third book in the Natchez Burning trilogy. I enjoyed the first two books, although the protagonist is a bit full of himself and can get on my nerves. I went to the library Saturday to get something else and it was on the Lucky Day book rack, where they put books that have been in high demand but are currently available. I only have seven days to read it and get it back.

"The Gods of Newport" - John Jakes

the protagonist is a bit full of himself and can get on my nerves - I read a cheap or free Amazon/Kindle book recently that hit me the same way but I couldn't find the words to describe the main character. "Full of herself" is spot on enough that I'm not interested in reading the next in the series.

Blood Money - David Ignatius

Mississippi Blood is on my TBR list, but I have to say that the last book in this series was a bear to get through. I think it is just because you keep hoping someone is going to actually come out and solve all of this stuff. If that is going to take a guy who's full of himself then so be it. I have read most of Greg Iles' books and he has not failed me yet.

Just started My Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante. I have been wanting to read this series for some time. My daughter and I have also just signed up for a book club and the book is Everything Everything, so that will be next up.

I finished Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. It was amazing. The story was well written and the short story at the back that follows the murdered sister on the day of her murder was so compelling. I'd recommend to anyone!

Started The Bone Tree Friday. So far, so good.

I just finished The Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Tooles. It's one of the best I've read in a long time. Maybe the best since I read Rules of Civility, by the same author. His writing is supurb.

Finished Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children last night. Will probably start the second book of the series tonight.

I will tell you that the second book in that series was a little harder for me to get through. It is almost a really long prologue to book 3, but I so enjoy looking at the pictures and reading the stories that go along with them.

I really enjoyed A Man Called Ove and am getting ready to read his book, Bear Town. I'll have to put My Grandmother Asked Me To Tell You She's Sorry on my TBR list.

Cinder, by Marissa Meyer - book 1 of The Lunar Chronicles. I had never heard of it and am just getting started, but it came highly recommended by my sister and her husband.

My daughter reads that series of books by Marissa Meyer. She enjoys them.

I am very much enjoying My Brilliant Friend and I will need to get the rest of the books in that series, even thought I recently got about 6 new books. This is how my pile keeps growing. Plus, we are about to get another book for our reading group at work.

In a Dark, Dark Wood, by Ruth Ware. My mom lent it, and The Woman in Cabin 10, to me when I visited last month.

Into the Water by Paula Hawkins.
