Our Credit Card Department would like to run the Visa Credit Card "Piece of Cake" Campaign. Anyone familiar with this? ICBA's website is referring to this as a sweepstakes.

I thought Sweepstakes were a problem for banks.

I think you'll need to provide some more information on the campaign in order for anyone to respond. I googled it and couldn't find anything.

Without the full rules, then it is hard to say, but if consumers cannot enter the drawing without having the card or without making a purchase, this is a lottery and not a sweepstakes. You also need to check your State's sweepstakes laws to make sure you comply with those requirements as some of those are pretty tough, especially with a $10,000 grand prize. The employee part is not a problem, that is an incentive program.

The official rules state that there can be a no purchase mail in entry. But I don't understand how the rules are provided to the customer.
