'68 Chevy Impala. The big green boat was how we referenced her.

83 Dodge Charger
It was brick red with a black racing stripe down the middle. Loved that car... but my 'mechanic' boyfriend at the time, I believe did more harm than good fixing it... including the 3 starters he put in it in a very short period of time. And, I learned 2 decades later he lifted some tools from my dad, which just breaks my heart.

1964 Chevy Impala SS. Actually it was mom's car and we shared it. First car that I bought was a yellow 1979 Chevette. The floor rusted through at 75,000 miles.

1989 blue Toyota Corolla or the "Babe Box". It could uncomfortably fit 4 adutls but we managed to fit 8 on one trip. I would have to guess that my mechanic pronounced it dead at approx 150,000 miles. Since nothing on the panel worked, we have no clue how many miles it actaully had or how fast we were really going.

1977 orange Chevette; my family derisively called it The Pumpkin.
And the bottom started to rust through at 64,000 miles.

First car I drove regularly was a 1978 Subaru Brat. The first car that was really mine was a 1980 Ford Bronco - bright red with a windshield visor and tinted windows. 300 straight six engine with a manual transmission and rubber floor mats instead of carpet. I would wash it up, take it out in the mud until you could barely tell what color it was, then wash it up again. Wish I still had that old Bronco.

Sorry, that's a common "out of wallet" password recovery question. You'll have to beat it out of me.

DeeQ, did it have the faux wood up the side? No, but it was an awful shade of copper.

Was that the one with the blow-up gas tank? OH! My mom had a brown Pinto that would roll if you turned it too hard.

1972 Torino station wagon....
so very cool. Just thought I'd get these out of the way before someone beat me to it Was there more smoke coming from the engine compartment or the passenger compartment? Did you fill the back with empty Tanq bottles? Did the trees you ran into even make a dent? Did it have a sunroof for your hair? Did your pleather pants stick to the vinyl seats when it was hot?
