We are doing a loan for a mobile home, it is in a flood zone. The appraisal values the mobile home without the land at $61,800. the insurance company states the replacement value of the mobile home is $24,000. Our loan amount is $76,800. We need flood insurance in the amount of $61,800, correct? or the replacement value of $24,000 given by the insurance company?

Not sure how you can value a mobile home at $61,800 when you can go out a buy a new one for $24,000. Somebody is wrong.

The flood insurance should be for the value of the mobile home correct? should we request a new appraisal?

When you say the appraisal values the mobile home at $61,800 - you aren't talking about market value are you. You are talking about the replacement costs assigned by the appraiser - correct?

Then like I said - one of them has to be wrong. That is a pretty large discrepancy to just ignore. $24,000 will get you a pretty plain jane 14x64 in this area, but not much more.
