I have a new MLO. I tried to provide him with the Fair Housing 11 x 14 poster/sign for his office as he will take mortgage loan applications from that location. He refuses to put it up in his office. He claims that it is only required for the lobby. He claims Title 24 CFR 110.15 does not state that he has to put it up in his office. Is he right? Can I remove all those posters from the MLO offices throughout the Bank? Any help is appreciated.

It is not required to be displayed at each MLO's desk.

Follow up.

How about if you have a Branch on the 1st floor and Mortgage Offices on another floor in the same building. Do you need to have the Poster in both lobbies?

No. The FHA says where mortgage loans are made OR where deposits are accepted. I'd put it in the 1st flood lobby area.

David, your response two posts above says a lot about what your fingers are used to keyboarding, and I know that flood insurance rules are one of your areas of expertise. But I suspect you meant to refer to the first "floor" lobby area.

smile You are correct John. FLOOR, not flood.
