Just to piggyback a little RR Joker; people seem to forget where electricity comes from for the most part: coal burning plants, primarily. Someone used to joke by calling Prius drivers Pius drivers, lol. Trust me, I would love to have a Tesla, but from what I've read, the govt subsidies are more or less the glue that's keeping Tesla sales and profitability going.

And, I wonder what effect all of the EPA's efforts on US businesses and consumers are having on the amount of pollution in the world when you have China and Russia doing pretty much whatever they want. I'm not saying we shouldn't try to eliminate our pollution, but I'm curious how our efforts compare to their carelessness.

What you are forgetting MB is that this is the law/regulation of CA where electricity is harnessed by Hot air and unicorn droppings.

The biggest issue that no one is talking about in the environmental circles is population growth. We could cut omissions in half per capita over the next 30 years, but earth's population is set to double over that same time period. Driving a Prius or using LED lights isn't going to cut it.

I drive a used Lexus CT 200h, the Lexus equivalent of the Prius V and I love it. Love spending $30/mo on gas too and that's driving at the national average mileage. I'm not as concerned with non-pollution as I am with not throwing money away.
