Here is what the administrators received. I believe the MLOs received a different, but similar e-mail.
The 2018 Federal Registration Annual Renewal Period is Fast Approaching
The NMLS 2018 Annual Renewal Period begins November 1st. According to federal regulations, all institutions must renew their registrations in NMLS for 2018. Additionally, individual Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) actively registered prior to July 1, 2017 must be renewed for 2018 through NMLS. The NMLS Annual Renewal Period ends December 31st for both institutions and MLOs.
As the individual responsible for managing your institution’s account, there are a number of steps you can take prior to November 1st to prepare for renewals. Consult the Renew-Reactivate page of the Federal Registry Resource Center for guidance on how to prepare for and complete renewal.
NMLS is also sending a notification to all registered MLOs who need to renew to remain active for 2018.
For additional questions regarding the renewal process in NMLS, please contact the NMLS Call Center at 855-NMLS-123 (855-665-7123). The Call Center hours are 9am-9pm ET.
The NMLS Call Center volume is at its highest level during the renewal period. If you need assistance completing your renewal request the best times to call are early in the morning (9-10am ET) and later in the evening (After 5:00pm ET).
Failure to renew your institution’s account will prevent your MLOs from renewing their registration.
