He are running some test loans, and ran across an AUS result of "Accept/Eligible." This isn't one of the options on the AUS results list. The AUS system is GUS. The CFPB field reference chart says for GUS use codes 5,8,10,13,14,or 15. So for this situation, should we use code 8 "Accept", or code 14 "Eligible"?

I would use the "other" option and fill in the blank, but that code isn't listed as an option for GUS.

That's my thought too. I've submitted the question to the CFPB. I'll let you know what I hear from them.

Has anyone reported a USDA loan using GUS? I uploaded one today to Compliance Relief and got an error that says: AUS reported as GUS should not have a result of 5, 8, 10, 13, 14 or 15.

The CFPB reference chart says that for GUS use code 5, 8, 10, 13, 14 or 15. I'm hoping it's just a glitch in HMDA relief, but wanted to see if anyone else has come across this?

HMDA relief has been having some hiccups on 2018 data. I'd reach out to them. Please let me know the response you get because I will have GUS to report too. Thanks.

I contacted Questsoft on the issue. There was an update that fixed the issue which we hadn't installed yet. The update was done over the weekend and I verified this morning that the error was gone.

Was there ever an answer to this question?

I have this very same question....

We also had another one where the result was Refer/Eligible, which is code 3. FIG says if you report GUS as the AUS that you can't use 3. Ugh!!!

Red Raiders, when you look at the FIG and the possible entries for the AUS results the answers are there, depending on which AUS was used.

a. Use Code 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, or 15 for the AUS result returned by the AUS of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae).
b. Use Code 8, 9, 10, 11, or 12 for the AUS result returned by the AUS of the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac).
c. Use Codes 8 or 13 for the AUS result returned by FHA TOTAL Scorecard.
d. Use Code 5, 8, 10, 13, 14, 15, or 16 for the AUS result returned by GUS.

I am familiar with that, however, we got a result from GUS of "Refer/Eligible" which is Code 3. Code 3 can't be reported for GUS. We also had another one that the GUS result was "Accept/Eligible" which isn't even an option. Just curious how others are reporting these.

I am interested in this too. We also have a GUS result of Refer/Eligible.

We've gotten a few like these, and decided to report other and type in the results as they are displayed (same thing we're doing for credit model). If someone has a better idea, all ears!

I think I just found the answer. On page 143 of the FIG, if you use AUS = 4 with one of the results not associated with GUS, it should give you a quality edit of Q633 not a validity edit. Since it is a quality edit, and not a validity edit, I think it is ok to report a result the way you have it.

I was just trying to find this answer myself. The GUS training states the results are two part because the first part is specific to underwriting and the second is specific to property, income, and applicant eligibility. It almost seems like we should report it like two separate results. So if we had one returned as Accept/Eligible, I'm wondering if we should report AUS1 and AUS2 as GUS, then Result 1 as Accept and Result 2 as Eligible.

It is strange that it allows for the combined results for DU, but not for GUS.

Has anyone heard back from CFPB on what to report if the GUS or Total Scorecard comes back Accept/Eligible for the underwriting recommendation? Or should we be reporting the results from another eligibility result, such as borrower eligibility, loan risk evaulation or borrower risk evaluation?

Nope. It is either (4-GUS & 8-Accept) or (4-GUS/8-Accept & 4-GUS/14-Eligible). I tend to lean with WreckEm Tech and report the two AUS and two Results.

Anyone else have any thoughts or insights on this?

My FI has been reporting GUS AUS results as Code-16 Other, and then manually typing in the Result (e.g., Accept/Eligible, Refer/Ineligible etc...). However, the LOS (MortgageBot) just removed "Other" as an option so now my FI needs to lookat other options to reporting the AUS Result, and find out what MortgageBot's reasoning is for removing Code-16 Other... Since a pipeline doesn't stop moving, I am going to suggest to the Lenders to report 2 AUS results for now. That makes most sense to me at this time.

Well, so much for that thought...MortgageBot won't let me report GUS twice...I am going to put another pot of coffee on and try to figure out the best approach :-p :-(

GUS works here with 8 - Approve.
There's another thread here somewhere that speaks to that. Sorry I haven't time to research it now.

Found it!
I'm still going with 8. I'll wait and dig a bit and decide for sure before 3/1/19 based on best information available. So far, QuestSoft is happy, so I'm happy. smirk

CFPB told me Wednesday to use Code-16 Other and input the 2-result answer in the text-form.

But if you have more than 1 GUS to Enter and one is Accept/Eligible and one is a Refer/eligible how are you reporting that?
