We recently acquired a Bank and they have numerous loans with Habitat for Humanity. They do not hold the mortgages and only service the loans. One of these loans is also in a flood zone. Should our loan servicing department track this loan even though we don't hold the mortgage? I would think we would want to track in case we need to force place insurance in the future. Thoughts?

Someone needs to be monitoring that flood coverage. It's almost always the loan servicer. Tag, you're it!

Even if you are servicing the loan, the flood insurance requirements will be based on who owns the loan. Habitat for Humanity, I doubt falls under the Flood Insurance regulations. You need to read the loan agreement and your loan servicing agreement to figure out what are your responsibilities.
