In response to my grousing about the lack of any attempt by FinCEN to provide actual notice of proposed changes beyond publication in the Federal Register, I was directed to the
Federal Register Notices page on the FinCEN web site. From the home page, click on the "Statutes & Regulations icon and you will find it listed in the column on the left side of the page.
Anyone interested could check there periodically, but its value would be driven by your own personal discipline in terms of how often you check.
I suggested a couple times that FinCEN should provide actual notice of significant changes to those who registered for their e-mail service. As it turns out, that would be a duplication of a service that exists elsewhere. Anyone can sign up to receive notices of actions taken by any federal agency at the
Federal Register web site; i.e. proposals from FinCEN, CFPB, FDIC, whatever. Note the "Sign Up" icon in the upper right portion of the page and choose your poison(s).
You don't have to sort through the Federal Register's daily chaff if you just want to read the good parts.
