We have a customer who disputed several debit card transactions for Xbox Live. Chargebacks were filed and our processor provided us with documentation proving authorization. We debited the provisional credit and sent the final determination letter to the customer. Now he wants to re-dispute the transactions. If the customer does not have any additional facts for us to consider do we have to do anything other than tell him our decision is final? We have never had this happen before believe it or not.

1005.11(e) Reassertion of error. A financial institution that has fully complied with the error resolution requirements has no further responsibilities under this section should the consumer later reassert the same error, except in the case of an error asserted by the consumer following receipt of information provided under paragraph (a)(1)(vii) of this section.

So just to clarify, as long as we provide the customer with the documentation used to make our decision, we have no further obligation in this case?

Yes. I summarize .11(e) this way: "If you've done all you can do, you've done all you can do."
