from what I read, Philly WR checked with the line judge to see if he was ok, line judge said he was, apparently this happens during games

Torrey Smith heard former NFL Vice President of Officiating Mike Pereira's comments on the "Philly Special" after the Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl victory. Pereira said the play shouldn't have counted because the Eagles lined up in an illegal formation.

Alshon Jeffery checked off at the line with side judge Jerry Bergman before the snap, which Bergman ruled it okay. Smith confirmed that on the SportsRadio 94WIP Morning show, explaining the communication between receivers and officials in the moments before the play was snapped.
