Is anyone willing to share what your Financial Institution does for PTO and/or sick days for part time employees? If you're willing to discuss this in private message, please PM me. I appreciate your help and input.

We've never given PTO to part time employees. They only get paid for hours worked.

Somewhere
My state has a mandatory sick time law for all so PT earn accrued sick time based on state law (you may want to check, HR should know this). We also provide PTO for our part-timers based on years of service. The only thing they don't receive are paid holidays.

Thank you for your reply! I will have to check State Law, to make sure that existing protocol does not violate that.

Our PT's receive Holiday pay if they would have been normally scheduled to work that day. I appreciate the information!

Pulling people out of the ditc...
part-time associates are entitled to sick leave, 1 day of sick leave for them is 4-hours versus 8 for full time, and they accrue 12 days of sick leave annually as do full time associates

We give it. We still accrue separate sick and vacation time but our part-time employees accrue the same as full-time employees just on a prorated basis based on the amount of hours worked. Employee's who work 20-29 hours per week are eligible for 50% of the full-time employee vacation and sick accrual amount and employees who work 30-35 per week are eligible for 75% of the full-time employee vacation and sick accrual amount. The accrual amount increases based on years of service.

Regular part-time employees here receive pay for holidays they would normally have been scheduled to work, for the amount of hours they would normally work. Regular part-time employees receive five (5) PTO days upon completion of one (1) year of service, and receive ten (10) PTO days at five (5) years of service (based on average weekly hours).
