A non-anchored building is not eligible for flood insurance. With that said - a non-anchored building is not allowed in a SFHA under local flood ordinances.

I think it depends on the building. A dwelling wouldn't be allowed, but I'm not so sure that applies to things such as Cook-type buildings that are made to be moveable. Of course, it would also not be insurable for that very reason

RR - very true. I have seen ice fishing "shacks" up north that make my live room at home look like an igloo. They pull them out on to the lake with a tractor. It really depends on what they are talking about.
