The Interagency Statement on the Retail Sale of NonDeposit Investment products prohibits Banks from commingling or placing signs in deposit taking areas of the Bank. We are trying to determine what defines a deposit taking area of the Bank. Is it permissible to put a sign in a bank lobby, but away from the teller line. Is there a set distance, such as 10 or 15 feet that would seem appropriate. All signs contain the Not Not May disclosures. We are looking for a reasonable solution.

I essentially have the same question. Does anyone have a recommendation?

In my situation, management is wanting to put up a flyer in our lobbies to remind/make customers aware that investment services are available through the bank. The flyer contains all of the required disclosures. I know that it can't be on the teller line or at new accounts desks. Would it be acceptable for this flyer to be on the front door or in the vestibule area of our lobbies?
