Pulling people out of the ditc...
we include Janus in our 401(k) as an investment option. IN the calendar year 2002 they took a major hit, about 50%, but have steadily come back. Had an average increase of about 35% last year, and they are up about 10% so far this year. Granted, we only have 4 Janus funds as an option, and there are over 50 funds that they manage, so I can only speak for a small amount.

Janus' reputation took a big hit during the bear market, as their funds suffered from more exposure than many other large mutual fund companies. Additionally, it was one of the companies targeted for allowing market-timing trades.

Thank you Jokerman and anon. I think I understand now what they are talking about.

Maybe if I got my mind off compliance a little more . . .
